How We Differ From Other Hospices
Some decisions in life are just more important than others and require
much more consideration and thought. Choosing a hospice is one of
those decisions. Contrary to what you might think, all hospices are
NOT the same! This is absolutely crucial information to have when
you're deciding who'll be taking care of you or your loved one, and
therefore, what the end-of-life experience will be like for your family.
So how does HospiceCare, Inc. differ from other hospices? First, we
are the oldest hospice in the area, established in 1989. Second, we are
the only free-standing, not-for-profit hospice in the area. We don't refuse
service to anyone due to their inability to pay. If they meet the hospice
criteria, but they don't have insurance or any way to afford services, we
still accept them into the program and give them excellent care. A truly
caring hospice cares more about human beings than dollars and cents!
Third, we are a spiritually-based organization. Our vision is based on
the basic premise of making the world a better place by helping people
with terminal illness die at peace and with dignity. Lastly, we have
24-hour crisis response. This means that if our patient has a crisis
situation in the middle of the night, the family can call and one of
our nurses will be there within an hour.
